Pilates is a strength building technique incorporating stretch and control. It is within the control where you will become powerful in your movement, helping you realign with your body, mind and entire internal system.
Pilates primarily focuses on spinal health, spinal mobility and recruiting strength from the deep core muscles which then propels the body to perform good movement patterns.
Why are good movement patterns important?
Because we become more functional in our living, stronger in our pursuits and engage better with our wellbeing. By focusing on body alignment we concentrate the mind, improve muscle engagement, release tension and encourage our bodies to transport us through our lives more efficiently, helping eliminate pain and injury.
